คำว่า accept หมายถึงได้รับหรือเห็นด้วยกับบางอย่าง
ส่วน except หมายถึงยกเว้น
there กับ their
คำแรกเป็นคำ adverb(กริยาวิเศษ) บอกสถานที่
ส่วนคำหลังเป็นคำ possessive pronoun(สรรพนามแสดงความเป็นเจ้าของ)

principle กับ principal
Principles หมายถึงความเชื่อ คุณค่า หรือความจริงเบื้องต้น
ส่วน principal หมายถึงครูใหญ่ หรือสิ่งหลักๆ
advice กับ advise
คำแรกเป็นคำนามส่วนคำหลังเป็นคำกริยา เช่น "so you can advise someone by giving them good advice."
borrow กับ lend
To borrow หมายถึงยืม
ส่วน to lend หมายถึงให้ยืม
เช่นCan I borrow your car? Sorry, I can't lend it to you today.
despite กับ although
สองคำนี้มีความหมายคล้ายกันแต่ใช้ต่างกัน คำว่า Despite เป็นคำ preposition(บุพบท)
ส่วน although เป็นคำ conjunction(สันธาน)
เช่น He won the race despite his injury. และ He won the race although he had an injury.
affect กับ effect
คำแรกเป็นคำกริยา ส่วนคำหลังเป็นคำนาม The effect of the war is enormous; it has affected all sectors of the economy.
personal กับ personnel
คำว่าข้อมูล personal ของคุณหมายถึงชื่อ อายุ และเชื้อชาติของคุณเป็นต้น
personnel หมายถึงลูกจ้างของบริษัท
assure กับ ensure
To assure บางคนหมายถึงกำจัดข้อสงสัยของเขาหรือทำให้เขามั่นใจหรือแน่ใจอีกครั้ง
ensure หมายถึงทำให้หรือรับประกันว่าบางอย่างจะเกิดขึ้นแน่นอน
